Why thank you very much! It was fun to visit homerecording and get your birthday messages! I just started visiting the recording techniques forum a few days ago, oddly enough.

Just having a pretty quiet day so far.

My birthday was a good day, except that I got heat stroke (or sun stroke whatever you want to call it). It was nearly 100 degrees here yesterday. I decided to go out and dig up an area on the side of the house where my wife wants to plant a vegetable garden.

Like a genius I went out right in mid afternoon when it was hottest and the sun was beating down. I was only working for about a 30-45 minutes when I felt all my strength just disappear. Just wiped out. I quit digging but like an idiot I kept going outside on other stuff.

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon and part of the evening in bed basically, feeling really weird. I can see how people can be hospitalized or die from that, even though I had probably a relatively minor case.

After drinking *much* water I felt like myself again. The whole thing was a bit scary, especially since I didn't really spend that much time in the sun. It really snuck up on me quick.

Happy Birthday Old boy! :)

Glad your better. Yeah dehydration can be very dangerous especially in hot weather. Can make you feel all faint and strange and weak.

Anyways!
All the best,
Eck
