OK...I'm kidding...y'all prolly think I'm having LSD flashbacks.

I and some friends are trying to rocket this baby to the very top of the country charts.

There's an interesting story that goes with the record.......

Play it for Tom...RIP
 
It's an interesting remake of ol' Hank. I like the tempo. Cool stuff.
 
reminds me of wedding parties in the 60's...fat aunties and all:D
 
Many years ago, my friend Paul, a drummer, answered an ad :

'Wanted: Serious, dedicated drummer for popular, working country band'.

No one would believe him, so he went back with a recorder ,to tape the second audition.

These guys had stage names, and big dreams. The guitar player has died, the world never getting to hear or appreciate his achievement. I and my associates would really like to ensconce him at the top of the SC Country chart.

And I think nothing like this has ever been posted here before...and maybe never again. [although I have another 30 minutes of material...including a four-minute section of the two guitarists attempting to tune their guitars...which is really, really, a hoot.

Something by which all other HRF performances should be compared...."no matter how bad you are......"
 
I used to do a psychobilly cover of this years ago in my rockabilly death-punk band. This is a great song that can be taken in all sorts of directions. Yall decided to murder it, but it's all good. :D

Here's to your buddy Tom. May he reach #1 on the SC charts.

that was really geat, you really made my day. I've been feeling really sick today, then your post inspired me to play some videos of my last family reuinion & my family was playing etc, and no lie, now i feel like a million bucks:D (listening to okie from moskokee right now for the 2nd time:D
