I've made some panels similar to these But I'm not sure the best way to hang them to the walls, the walls will be plasterboard and one concrete wall. (The panels are pretty heavy)
If there's any tutorials for hanging acoustic panels or ideas on how I could hang them please let me know.
I'm having trouble sticking the acoustic tiles to it though, I should have stuck them on before I hung the cloud, but it was a bit tricky to put up so I thought I'd add them after.
I don't want to glue the acoustic tiles, I'd rather just tack them so I can take them off if I need them elsewhere, but I've tried and the tiles just fall off, because the tacks won't grip onto the rock wool, what could I use that won't damage the tiles?
Wire ties-? There's such a wide range of quality and strength -including metal vs plastic latching blades..
I guess if as long as you're way up on the overdesign' side?
Wire ties? Frankly I never paid much attention to ratings on ties but that they were in very wide ranges. I see there are plenty of 'heavy duty ties with 100+ lbs ratings on the web (including all plastic. So.. I could be way off base here and you could be fine.
I use 'light duty (non-welded) loop chain for it's adjustability on my non framed tracking room clouds which likely has even less duty rating than some of these ties.
There is also light weight 'wire rope' (cable) and grip devices. Something like 1/16" is very easy to use and would also be way over on strength.
