Holy crap! You're right. That was the 4 string that I used to have. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes it is. It was built as the prototype for the Groovetools line. It was given to Bill Dickens, along with a few other basses, for him to decide which one would be the signature model. He chose the 7 string version.

He gave me this 5 string and a 4 string bass in exchange for some stuff that I did for him 10 years ago.
