The truth is out there!
Anyone know of or use a decent hammond style VST for mac? I'm looking for something free or cheap to try out for a bit.

Thanks!

Here you go: genuinesoundware.com, go to products, at the bottom, legacy donationware plugins. I couldn't post a link because I don't have 5 posts?

These are all the freeware versions, which are very good. You get a Rhodes, B3, Wurlitzer, effects, Leslie. These are some of the best plugins with versions for Mac & PC. If you like this B3 emulation their paid VB3 is even better, many people, myself included think it is the best software B3 out there. Much better than Native Instruments B4 ll.

Thanks for the advice, but I use a mac, so I'm kinda limited on what VSTs I can use. If anyone knows of any cool organ (B3, Wurlitzer, etc) plugs for mac please let me know.

I'm gonna build a pc just for recording because I'm tired of finding all this cool stuff and not being able to use it!

The B4 can be used on both PC and Mac.
Personally I'd recommend it, I think it's good (and I used to have a real Hammond organ). Sonik synth also has some good organ and keyboard sounds. And they're Mac compatible.

Try out some of the demos they are available for Mac. I dind't realize that freeware bundle was synthedit. compiled and therefore windows only. I use MAC as well and it is a little harder but most stuff available now is cross platform.
