I have bought a fair amount of equipment from there and never thought to haggle, does it work there or are thier prices fixed?

Hi, I'd say a lot of the stuff in the guitar center thread applies to Turnkey as well.

Generally their prices aren't fixed and are just the RRP. The best thing to do is get a quote from one place then call another and ask them to beat it. I got a rock bottom price on a couple of mic's recently by doing this, it did take about half an hour calling calling between different places but was worth it :)

It may be difficult to get the price down if you are just buying a single item that is quite popular and will therefore have a competitive price already (such as an SM58) but it's always worth asking them if they can do something for a better price- don't worry about being cheeky, they're used to it!

I have used Turnkey quite alot online and nearly everytime i have ordered, something has gotten fucked up. Usually this is down to the dispatch team. But i have found that everytime this has happened i have been able to "barter" with them as to getting money off. Quite a bit in some cases. I live in Northern ireland and shipping to here is quite expensive, usually i can get that waved. Thats the only time ive been able to "haggle" as such with them.. I know they have a shop so it might be quite possible to go into the store and Barter, im quite sure their mark up is phenomenal.

thanks, i kinda forgot about this thread, thanks for your replys. I think i will have to go in and give it a go. Im quite surprised about your problems with them gummblefish, but i guess shipping is ALWAYS a pain in the ass
