With our newest song on www.mp3unsigned.com it got to be number 1 on there official charts this week which really pleased us as it gives us hope we are heading in the right direction and with a lot of hard work we will hopefully get a good album out at some stage of our lives.

Well done! Sounds very good to me, although i think i don't like the drum sound...snare sample annoys me a little...
 
thanks for the reply friend ..yes its only our second time using the BFD drum module hopefully we,ll pick it up soon to sound better...your comments are greatly apreciated.

I think, that it will never be as good as real drummer.... especially to that kind of music. That automated rhytm is destroying that VERY nice melody...
 
While programmed drums will never beat a good live drummer, you can do quite a bit to spice up your programmed drums... I'd recommend trying something like Jamstix if you want something that will sound more realistic, it basically works with your sound module, I use it with DFHS and love it. I don't have to program a bunch of fills like I used to or mess with Velocities to give a more real feel... Of course this is all temp until I can buy some drums, I sold my set a year and a half ago to invest in recording...

Song sounds good... That open high hat seems to be obnoxious sounding though... Other than that, pretty good, nice and clean sounding.
 
Never heard of jamstix but will check it out yes we are only trying to get the songs down but when mastering we will use a live drummer but just want to let you guys hear what we are doing with drums so it fills the songs for now thanks for giving the song a listen to and thanks for giving us your views its very much apreciated by me and stevy.

The verse melody & phrasing reminds me of Teardrop Explodes.
A nice piece fellows. the chorus melody is great though I'd love the vocals to lift in vol just a smidgen for it so that it physically & metaphorically soars.
I'm OK with the drums but then again I use a TR505 so I'm not very sophisticated.
There's a touch of the La's in this track.
Top work.
 
The songs sounds great, great work!

IMHO, varying the levels of the HH and Snare would help the drums be more realistic.
 
Thanks for all replies and we will try the small tweaks that people are suggesting as its all to hopefully bring out the best in the track..again thanks for replies much apreciated by me and stevy....
