Hi everyone,
I've got a Line6 GuitarPort and I can't figure out how to record it in Cubase.
Essentially it's a 24 bit ADC with amp&cab simulator capabilites, and it sends data throught the USB port but it's not shown in the Cubase's inputs.
Can someone help me,please?

What kind of sound card are you using? Or are you just inputting through the USB port?

I use an SB Audigy, but the sampled data flows through the USB cable.
As an aside, In Sonar I can choose between 2 peripherals to record: the SBAudigy and the GuitarPort.

Okay, this is just a guess based on what I remember the good folks at the music store telling me, but my setup runs the Guitar Port through my MIA Echo 96/24 audio card. Instead of using the USB output on the Guitar Port, I run a pair of RCA jack (on the Guitar Port side) to 1/4" (on the MIA side) cables and use that as the connection from the Guitar Port into my system.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that the folks at the music store told me specifically that in order to record using the Guitar Port, I would need an audio card. I believe that it was also explained to me that a sound card was not adequate, and that an audio card had capabililties a sound card does not, and that those capabilities were required for recording. Then again, if you can see the Guitar Port USB input from the Sonar software, it could just be a limitation of Cubase (I seem to run into a lot of those). My advice at this point would be, if you know someone at a local music store you trust, ask them if I have it right, and if not, what you need to do.

Hope this is of some help.
