Cool video

 Hey apl-great video review there! I got their DVD with all the amazing information on instruments, players, and even the construction-wave soldering I guess-outstanding quality control.
Gotta admit the Alan Holdsworth interview, the long version was my favorite, his fingers are everywhere on the fretboard. I've admired his playing for decades and Carvin shows it all up close.

Sweet video! I would get one if I had enough money or played guitar more. I play bass, and I have one of their LB70ps. Joe Walsh plays a carved top too.

Shirley you like Jason Becker back in the day (before ALS). He was a Carvin player. Wasn't Steve Vai into Carvin for awhile?

and don't call me Shirley.

apl,
Just curious since I've seen you promote them several times - are you associated with Carvin? I don't care either way, just wondering.

No. Just like their stuff.

Steve Vai plays through Carvin amps and he just designed a signature amp with them. I think he got into them when he played with Zappa.

that looks like a very versatile guitar. i would'nt mind having one.

APL, I think it needs more switches. :D

That can probably be arranged. The coolest thing about Carvin guitars is that the purchaser gets to configure it with an extensive array of options.

A friend of mine has almost the EXACT same Carvin as the video. The only different is he opted for the wilkinson tremolo instead of the string-thru body. He has the same finish, pickups, electronics, everything. The guitar truly is versatile and sounds great. He has told me that that at live shows PRS players are astonished at how similar his guitar sounds to theirs and how much LESS he paid for it lol...long live Carvin...
