Hi There,
Anyone know the differences between these two software titles? I know Music Creator is the newer title, which is why I know so little about it. Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Guitar Tracks vs. Music Creator

From what I can see, Guitar Tracks is 8 tracks of wave file recording only, no MIDI. Music Creator lets you record 8 tracks of audio wave files plus MIDI tracks. I bought Music Creator due to a limited budget and I am happy with the ease of use and the logical and simple layout. I am limited on effects and the software seems to set its own preference for buffers etc., which apparently I can not change. My Pentium 200 MMX with 64 meg of ram can record 8 tracks of audio with the reverb applied to 4 of the 8 channels through the aux. Anything more than that and the shields buckle. I will probably use the metronome and built in session drummer to create MIDI drum tracks, then mix to wave. For the acoustic singer/songwriter CD project I am embarking on, I think it will be fine. On my PC, it seems way more stable than n-Track, which I really love and tried valiantly to use, but finally gave up on. I think I just don't have enough horsepower, but I can't afford to upgrade at this point. Good luck with whatever ap you choose. Bill

I have Guitar Tracks 2 and am quite pleased with it thus far. It and My Pod get along real well and it is easy to operate. The drop and drag drumer is a little limited but an upgrade is available. I still think it's a little better than the Alesis SR16 I've been using. I too am running 64 mb ram and can tell I'm close to the limit so I'll probably go to 96 or 128 shortly. I've got to add that I have Cubasis VST also and gave up on trying to operate it.
