guitar tracks. delta 44 HELP!!

When I try to record using a mic connected to the 1st input in my delta 44 breakout box. Guitar Tracks tells me that there is a problem with my ardware (soundcard). It is working fine besides this? anyone? Please help quickly i want to PLAY!!!!!

I'm sorry but I can't get the question clear... would you suply more info ? OS, driver, what's actualy the problem pop up, etc... etc...

i am running windows xp, just installed the delta 44 and breakout box. I connected my sp5b moniters to the 1 & 2 outs and a 1/4">XLR jack into the 1 in. I opened guitar tracks and clicked on the input option, a menu appears that reads
None
Lt.M Audio Delta 44 Multichannel
Rt.M "
St.M "

Record Control...
Volume Control...

I selected Lt.M (I dont know what this means however)

then click on input again and click on Record control and get
"There is a problem with your sound hardware. To install mixer devices go to Control panel...."

I have already installed the 44 though...

Have you tried any of the other inputs?




Have you tried to read the manual for the Delta?
