I have a POD pro and I am quite happy with it. However I am looking for some great effects like a 'harmonizer". I have read that the Roland 30 or higher model guitar synths provide this function. Can someone tell me how exactly this works? Does it automatically play the harmony associated with the melody I play? Howmany harmony patterns can it play?

I need something rack mounted...are there any rackmounts like the "inteliflex" that can provide this effect that can be controlled by a foot pedal?

Another question: What the heck does the "Bad Horsey" do? Good wah wah sounds? I am not a fan of the wahwah, but would like to experiment and scare my neighbors!

THanks in advance!

Most Harmonizers play a set note interval of the note you are playing. Example:3rd's, 5th's, octaves. It does not assume where your chord progression will go and make up a clever harmony the way a second player would, it plays a predetermined (you pick from a menu) interval of the note. Like a parallel 5th all the way through. Cool enough, but ends up sort of playing a "chopsticks" feel a few bars into it. However they are generally midi rigs and you can change the preset or intervals as you play along.

Bad Horsey is a killer wah. Re: Steve Vai "Alien Love Secrets". Made famous via vai and his whinnying horse sound.

(Via Vai) :D
