My guess is,that his guitar is in a million tiny pieces by now.LMAO!

Sorry, I don't usually post on the weekends and I was busy yesterday. But I experimented a little at practice last night and I think I know what it is.
My guitar is a Vantage Gibson 335 rip-off, not a Strat. It has no tremolo. But I think that when I bend the neck back or maybe even bend the string, the string is catching somewhere and thus staying sharp. So I guess I need to do the ol' pencil lead trick. I'll let you know if that fixes it.

My acoustic 12 Alverez does the same thing. It goes sharpe especially the bottom E. To solve the problem I do what was alreasy mentiones. I apply a little #2 pencle to the nut. It seems to solve the problem. I heard that it is something to do with a dry lubricant.

You can always wiggle a finger on the strings behind the nut. Quite a nice effect for non-trem guitars. Saves on those nasty expensive repair jobs. You break a string, you break a string. Break a truss rod....well...
