guitar solo - opinions wanted

Im not much of a guitar person, if anyone can give me a few comments I'd appreciate it greatly. If possible approach this from a producers point of view. Tell me how I can improve on it.

I don't know what you're looking for here. Opinions on the solo, opinions on the tone or what.
The tone is a little shrill, but not too bad. I would try to smooth it out a little. The playing is pretty cool. At times it is quite out of time with the underlying beat and it makes it sound kind of cobbled together instead of performed. Maybe you could tweak some sections around to make the timing flow better.
