I need to record my guitar playing so I can send a mini-disc or tape to someone who wants to hear how and what I play. However, I just want a little recorder that I can put next to my instrument, play and listen back to it. I don't want to go through my computer. No mixing. (although they would be a nice options to have). Sort of a tape recorder you talk into that would be good for recording music. Clear? I hope so. I really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. Lots.

Whats your budget? You can get little cassette format multitrack recorders for less than $100.

Peace,

My budget is,...somewhere between $250 and $400. Does that make it any easier? Let me know. And thanks. Peace to you as well.

ok, since your really not interested in mixing, just a simple way to record and send minidisks or tapes, I would suggest the following link to Mars Music, its just like those old cassette voice recorders. Its relatively cheap and will do the job.

If you think you might want to get into multitrack demos you might want to look at the Recorders at Mars, the selection is the same as anywhere else.

Peace,
