Hi, I've been looking for a guitar effects processor upgrade. I currently use a roland gp-100 as my effects processor. Its dated right now, and its sound quality is only mediocre compared to the new ones out today. What I am looking for is an effects processor that can run any type of effects at once, for example, the gp-100 uses algorithms, and i can only use certain effects at a time. Another example would be the tc electronic g major, and i can only use one effect from each group (can use a chorus, but not a flanger at the same time). The lexicon mpx g2 is good, but firstly it is expensive, and secondly, it doesn't have a tremolo (which i need), or vibrato (which i need as well). What i do need is a processor (must be rack mount), that has all the basics (chorus, flange, detuner, harmonizer, delay, phaser, vibrato, tremolo + reverb). Well thats about it... lol, thats kind of long... Any ideas? Thanks as always!!

DIGITECH 2120 ?

I have all that with my beloved DIGITECH 2101 GSP from almost 10 years now !

Have a look at the DIGITECH 2120 Artist which seems to be the evolution of the same product. Pay a virtual visit to Digitech:
http://www.digitech.com/products/productpgs/2120a.htm

I confess that I have no experience at all with the 2120 and therefore cannot assure you the same satisfaction as the one I have with my tremendous 2101 (updated to Dual Disc & Software Version 3).
Maybe have look too to the 2d hand market ?

Good luck,

I have the 2112 and tried the 2120. I would not buy it as something for my main sound. They sell an upgrade chip for the 2112 that makes it the 2120. It does not sound convincing. I love my 2112 for special effects and clean sounds, but Pod and newer things like that BLOW it away as far as decent distortion goes.

One more thing, the effects are great, but compare it to a Pod or Sansamp or Korg and the distortion difference is like night and day, no contest. Digitech didn't really get the basic distortion sound happening until there newer products. They seem to sound much better.
