What kind of music do you like? In your 3 years of messing around with the guitar what is an honest opinion of your ability on the guitar? Can you tune a guitar by ear??
Actually there are only about 7-15 dudes that know how to play guitar. None do You Tube. A good clue is if somewhere in all the stuff they start mentioning that there are 7 notes and 12 keys and relate this to the planets and months of the year.
For the last 1,000 years this has worked to improve anyone's guitar playing skillls.
E major chord. Play each note in the chord - asceending/descending - first slow then fast. If you have to use thumb to strum, later switch to pick. If you have to - look at first and then without looking. Do this twice a day for about an hour. In the morning as soon as you get up and in the evening before bed.
After a year do 2 notes per interval...
