I know this isn't a recording question, but I can't find any reviews on the Fat Finger guitar Sustain Enhancer, has anyone used this or know someone who has. Does it work? I have a very Warm sounding Martin, and I want to brighten it up a bit, and I've already tried to change string types, all kinds, but it doesn't get quite what I want, any suggestions other than the enhancer would be super swell, thanks

well

I don't want a better sound recording, just regular playing

Don't hold me to this being the answer, but I have a friend who got hold of some brass string pegs for his Martin. He says that it really brightened up the sound.

I have not tried it personally, but it seems like a pretty cheap option....Good luck.

The Fat Finger and the brass bridge pins are, in my opinion, a waste of time. There is not much you can do to change the sound of an acoustic guitar without causing damage to the instrument. The brass bridge pins have the benefit of not causing damage, but they don't really do anything at al for the sound, in my opinion. The Fat Fingers not only don't do anything, but the way they clamp on the instrument can damage the finish on an instrument. To me it does not seem worth it.

Have you tried strumming/picking closer to the bridge?
Changing the nut or the bridge saddle could also affect the tone.
