Howdy folks:
Hey just looking for advice or direction on some guitar chords for different guitar tunings... for instance if I wanted to change my guitar tuning to say DADGAD tuning... is there a way to make chords for this tuning. Or are there any say books (there's always the Mel Bay series. yuck) that indicate where to finger the chords or is this something I should know by becoming aquainted with the various notes on the fretboard. Thanks for your help,
DL.

Each tuning has its own series of chords. If you know the names of the notes you can spell them out.But better to watch or listen to somebody already familiar with the tuning you want.I play a little in dadgad but more in G tuning (D A D G B D )which is common for slide guitar and country blues ala Robert Johnson.
If you are looking for books, get a guitar player magazine.I forget the name of their "roots" guitar guy,its Stephan Grossman or Happy Traum, I think.Anyway, whoever it is has a business with method books covering such down-home subjects.Just look through their ads and you should find something.
