O.K., come clean - who among us pastes stickers all over their guitar cases ?
Do you do one case ? All your cases ? None ? Who loves and who hates seeing stickers on a guitar case ?
And if you do this, what's your weirdest or most favorite ?

stickers on your guitar case look cool only when its an old, road-beaten case that has seen better days. new stickers all over a new case looks cheasy in my humble opinion.
 
I used to do it ...It was a good way to tell one case from another..If you got three or four bands playing all the cases look alike...Made it easer with the stickers on them!

I never put sticker on my guitars or cases. However, every time I eat a piece of fruit, I take the sticker off and stick it on the fridge. Got almost the entire front covered after two years!

I stuck the track tape strip from a recording console on one of my guitar cases. But hey, it was from a Neve, and that's the closest I'll ever get to having one.
 
I put stickers of bands that open for us on my gear. They don't get paid much, so the leastt I can do is advertise them.

My rule is.
Sticker's of small/local/friends bands you want to help-Very Cool
Sticker's of Bands that sell over a million records-Dumb
Sticker's of slogans or causes-mildly cool
Sticker's of manufacturers or Equip models-Extremely Dumb

I used to do that... Now I don't get cool stickers anymore. Don't like the stickers I put on back then anymore either.

BTW, think about it, if you ever want to sell the flightcase again, you have to remove all those stickers. And they were also on my guitar. Sigh. Spend hours getting them of. But I did sell them both for more then I spent. :D

i have a couple of stickers on my cases in special spots, so i can tell that it is mines, because equipment gets lifted in clubs. I would beat the crap out of someone if i caught them touching my babies.
 
My case is covered....!

My guitar case is totally covered with back stage passes from shows that I have done,....

My favorites are the Dead, and Eric Clapton....

Some of the others are ...
Dave M.band, Matchbox 20, Don Henley, etc etc etc..... I also have lots more that I might just put over some of the other ones,..... Or, .....???

Stickers are cool. I don't put them oon everything I've got--just that one special guitar that goes on every road trip I go on. I like getting stickers from the places I go to remeber the trip------EVERYBODY needs at least one Sun Records Studio sticker and a Graceland sticker from their trip to Mephis.
 
My '68 Tele with well worn fretboard and body (blonde with black pick guard) has a small silver and green one that says "slighly imperfect" on the pick guard.

I generally don't approve of the stickers on the guitar but this one I could not pass up; came off some factory second clothes but it says it all!
 
COOL STICKERS

I have one case that is plastered with stickers.

this case started off with stickers of places i have taken this guitar and added to that some of my favorite equiptment stickers,

But my favorite is a custom made sticker a friend of mine made. It is a frowning happy face with a bullet between the eyes.

My fave is one I got from the Canadian Ice Patrol when I was posted to Resolute Bay.
(The Ice Patrol tracks and maps the moving ice floes during the spring to advise on the viability of Arctic shipping lanes).
Anyway, their sticker says Ice Patrol with maple leaves around a cocktail glass full of cubes.
And boy could these guys drink...

I think if I were still playing out, I might put some sort of distinctive marking on my cases to keep them from being confused with someone else's, but I doubt it'd be stickers.

I just got a few used cases for $10 each at a Guitar Center clearance a while back and unfortunately had to peel off a wad of old gummy stickers from a nice Fender bass case. No fun.
 
My case is covered with naked devil women and I love it. However, If I can find anybody that recovers guitar cases they'll all be coming off in faver of of a Cal. girl style case. Tan on the outside and soft and pink on the inside. :cool:
 
I put some Snap-on racing stickers on mine along with some AKG and Electro-harmonix stickers. Really came in handy one time when a few guys in the other band had the same case as mine minus the stickers.

Depends on why? If your putting it on anything there must be a reason. If its to advertize your band, then you dont have enuff. If you are a collector, hit yourself and ask the same question again. If its for decoration, then it also depends on what it says. Disco danny or Zappa rules.... LOL
