Is there any way of getting rid of that little bit of guitar buzz, you know the buzz you get when you take you hands of the guitar?

Even when playing sometimes we take our hands off the guitar, and when put back you get that little click, and then the buzz stops.

It must be that the human body acts as a ground, with an amp you have polarity reverse, but with a Pod what do you do?

Any help greatly apreciated!!

I get a bit of buzz, I think most guitar players do. Turning your monitor off reduces a lot of it. Also, depending on what your playing, the noise gate in the POD can be quite effective if setup right. I read some thread on here, - something about playing barefoot with one foot on a metal plate wired to ground? Sounds scarry, reminds me of a scene out of Brubaker.

Hey Emeric,

Funny you should mention playing barefoot. Right here in sunny Florida, this is standard footware.

What I do, is keep my barefoot on the Pod floorboard, that takes care of it.

I just think that there must be some device that would take care of this problem. Seems barbaric that this is still the only way to get rid of the buzz.

If there is a better way I would like to know, one less hassle to worry about when recording!!

Next time I'm at Sam Ash I will ask, if there is a device, I will let you know.

getting a more expensive guitar fixes the problem. no joke, the cheaper the guitar the heavier the buzz... not always of course.

I have a strat copy(peavey) with active EMG pickups.
I did it up with pearl 2pak paint and stuff and put shiny chrome knobs on it.It gets that pop and buzz just slightly though!!When I put the original plastic knobs back on all the little noises go away. But I like my shiny knobs so I put up with it.:D.

Have you heard stevie ray vaughan do little wing?
you can hear the amp buzzzin!gee if it's good enough for him who are we to complain about a little buzz.Unless ofcourse yours is real bad then I would suggest an earth problem. Is your amp solidstate or valve.valves can make ya guitar buzz abit more I think.
