You should check out the Mesa Nomad combo, and the Rectoverb combo. They both come in around $1200 or less. I believe either of these would suit anyones needs.

There is a Boogie Nomad 55 with 4 10's on eBay for $550. There is a 100 watt Nomad head for $650.

A Fender Hot Rod Deville will also do the job (unless you want to be RIDICULOUSLY LOUD). 60 watts, 2 x 12s or 4 x 10s
There are a few on eBay for $400 - $500.

I returned the Flextone III and got the head HD147. I am happy with it now
