I seriously intend to steal this guys color scheme, but I cant find him to ask, and I cant tell exactly how to do it. I say it a green two tone with some kind of pearl in it. Whatcha think?

I had a killer stomache virus last week....this color could have easily been found in my turlet.

You may want to look into Raaaaalph Loren at home depot. they have a lot of odd textured paints. Wife did the livingroom in a chocolate swede. Only thing I would say against that type of paint is that it does not hold up to abuse at all. The paint comes of the texture matirial easy so if you scrape it softly it's damaged.

F.S.

Of course it's a decorative finish. A combination of colors or different values
of the same color.
I'll come out to your studio and create the same or similar look for $999,999.
Or, how much do you have on you?

To me it looks like a plain green with a bronze faux over top. Easy to do, just hit the store and look at some of the faux painting options.

you could get there a number of ways. Acrylic plaster, venetion plaster,
glazes...
I've taught a bunch of faux finish workshops, you could do it yourself for sure.
these days all the paint companies have a line of decorative paints with step by step instructions.
remember, it's only paint so if you don't like it, repaint with the base color
and start over. Do some LARGE samples on a VERTICAL piece of sheetrock
to simulate the actual conditions.

have fun!

Hmmm. I'll post some pictures in a month and you guys can tell me how bad I F'ed it up.

Chartreuse

I really dig that color, actually. My studio has one red wall, and the rest white.

In psychology, they say that green walls have a calming effect. This is why you see prisons and schools (hmm...) with light green walls. Not to mention "green rooms" off stage in theaters.

I guess I wanted my studio to have a high energy feel rather than a mellow one.

So.. Chartreuse.. can I have my winnings now? :D :(

Why not just print the picture, extra big, and have the fine folks at the borg scan it and mix the color for you. Or even better, copy the pic into MS Paint, and then you could probably use the eye dropper and paint bucket to print out a full sheet of each of the two (or more) tones used.

Looks to me like a dark green base with a sage-y sponged top.

Do you mean chocolate suede? If she did it in a chocolate swede, I would think you'd get pissed. :D
