I've got an Athlon 1800+, 640MB ram.

I open a project and go to Track View.

Anybody know why sometimes the amplitude waves don't display in all the tracks? I'm not playing or recording anything, the cpu & io metres are barely registering.

It's a hassle when trying to create or adjust envelopes, as the envelope is invisible when the wave doesn't show up
 
Give them time, they will appear eventually. Seriously. :)

OR you can increase the size of your picture cache. Open the file aud.ini and find the line that reads PicCacheMB=20 and change the 20 to something higher: 100, 200 or higher if you have the free disk space.

Moskus, why isn't this in the FAQ's. You're falling down on the job. :D
 
Thanks buddy, I'll try that.

You're right, sometimes if you wait, they slowly appear, but last night they just refused to show themselves on this project I had open for about an hour

I used to have that same problem with my old PII 400Meg machine. I still have slow wave profile build with my P4 2.4 Gig and a pic. cache of 200, but its okay. I am hoping that my forthcoming upgrade to Win XP will assist even more:)
