So anyone hear the GT mics? Specifically the medium size 33 and 44?
Their site says class A tube(GT44) and solid state (GT33). I also read a review in Recording mag.

These are 3/4" MD mics with brass backplates. I hear they are different then from the co-Alesis days. Hey they gotta be doing something right.. ahem the Viper :)

Chessparov did say th GT67 was honky?

The GT 44 is supposed to rock, I've only heard great things about them. I have a pair of Neumann KM 184's, but I've been thinking about adding a pair of the GT 44's.

Meriphew, what are you using them on? Are they scooped in the mid range at all?

Thanks

Tonio - I haven't had the opportunity to use the GT 44's. I've heard that they are really great sounding mics from a number of people whose opinions I trust. I've heard them fawned over so much that I'm contemplating buying a pair. It will either be a pair of the GT-44's or a pair of the Josephson C-42's.

I have a GT 66. I don't really have an opinion on it since it's my first condensor mic and my only LDC mic. I also have a SD AKG condensor mic but I can't remember the model number. I don't think neither work too great with my acoustic guitar, but again, I don't have a lot of experience with different microphones. I do like my GT 66 for vocals though.

Yeah the c42's are supposed to be a commodity. They are about the same cost too hmmmm..

bartno2, did you get your 66 at banjo mart?
