...I just recently purchased a GT Brick preamp/DI and I've read on other threads here that running it thru the RNC makes for a real nice combination...since the Brick has no insert inputs/outputs and the RNC has unbalanced in/outs, what's the best way to hook these up and into the balanced inputs of my M-Audio Omni interface?...what cables should be used?...

...rather than start messing around and blow something up, I figured somebody has already set up this configuration...Thanks for any constructive input in advance!...

The omni has insert points, right? I would use those. I use the inserts on my Tascam US-122 line-ins to add a compressor when using the brick as an external pre. You'll just need a standard TRS insert cable to do that.

Otherwise, you could go brick-->rnc-->omni, but that would be an unbalanced signal.

...problem is, I believe, that the "insert" inputs on the Omni only effect Lines 1 & 2 on the interface, and those are the Omni's own Preamp lines...the Brick goes into either Line 3 or 4 which are the balanced line inputs...
...if I were to use the unbalanced setup (Brick>RNC>Omni), how do I "unbalance" the output from the Brick, and the input to the Omni?...is that simply a matter of using TS cables instead of TRS?...
