I'm thinking of organizing a group buy for my Rock Drums Ultra sample collection.
Would anyone be interested?
Would anyone be interested?
No, I'm thinking about setting up something where the more people who by the samples within a certain amount of time, the lower the price goes.timboZ said:![]()

Your gonna buy your own samples?
This won't be for the drumagog samples (yet), just the wave file samples.jonnyc said:Put me on your list, I'm seriously considering going for Drumagog this week and I'll need some killer samples. Just help me sell my Tama ImperialStar and I'll be more than happy to buy a copy of your stuff.
No it's not. A group buy is where an arrangement is made with the seller whereby if you guarantee a certain number of sales, the price per copy is lowered. It's called buying in bulkbewildered said:i thought all you anti-pirate freaks believe in one copy per person. So would file trading be legal if everyone who downloaded it sent in $.01 to the uploader? cause thats eseentially what your suggesting.

This is only one copy per person.
How it works is you put down a deposit that equals the lowest price possible.
the more people who participate, the lower the end price will be.
for example:
People price reduction
1-9.................5 % off for example
10-19............10 % off for example
20-29............15 % off for example
30-39............20 % off for example
40-49............25 % off for example
50-69............30 % off for example
70-119..........35 % off for example
120-199........40 % off for example
200-299........45 % off for example
300+.............50 % off for example
At the end of the time frame, the number of people is counted up and the discount is applied. Each person is sent an invoice for the difference if there is any. Then they each get sent their own copy.
It's like buying in bulk at Sams club, same basic concept.
BTW. That table was for explanation purposes only, I haven't worked out the exact breakdown.
