Group Buy Interest?

When I send the PP request, your order has ALREADY been processed, meaning that all your shipping info has already been printed on the label (and on your box) and recorded with Fed Ex. and paid (by me) and is ready to ship. To change this would mean cancelling Fedex, and going thru all the steps as another order. Some time ago I asked for everyone to update the ship address changes and I updated the PP and Fedex address books. I don't think it would be fair to those waiting, to re-process an order when I could be processing the next in line. Fedex is picking up about 30 orders today.

I mentioned a few posts back about how I arranged a PCB group-buy for the Synth-DIY list. I received those PCBs the 1st week of September and just mailed out the last one about a week ago. I had to ship to Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Scotland, Netherlands and France in addition to the US. I managed to get the majority of the orders out in the first two weeks but there were problems.

Some people sent bad address info. People changed their orders. People didn't pay on time or at all. The poor fella in Australia had his order split due to a mistake on my part and had to wait several weeks before it all arrived. Another guy's order got torn apart in transit and he only received half an envelope. It was his that was the last to ship. About two weeks ago I got the other half of his original package AND the contents believe it or not in my mailbox. I had to retest his PCB before sending it out again but he finally has it.

Now with all the orders finally complete, I am fielding all the help messages from the people having trouble getting their projects built. :mad:

Anyway, I have a good idea of how Chance might be feeling now. And just to make him feel worse I will point out that the trip from China will probably be the shorter one for some of the mics ;)

I'm pretty sure my order was last anyway :D

Chance told everyone how it's organized a few posts back...it's not alpha order. Check out what he said (post #1671)

By the way--things are looking up here. Just got my PayPal request a few minutes ago and paid it. Have patience, it will happen for you.
 
haha ok thanks. damn i don't remember if i was one of the first to order or not! oh well, i've waited this long, what's a few more weeks? thanks again chance, just can't wait to try out the new toys. :D
 
I just ran into an old friend who reciently started (of all things) a packaging service. I don't know if I want to switch gears this far into things. I will talk more to her about this tomorrow.
 
if any of you are suffering while you wait for the 6802T, here's a temporary fix. I apologize that the tubeside picture is a little blurry, and I couldn't quite get close enough to have all the numbers visible on the other side.

Geezus people, I'm not in this GB but more recently I've been keeping track of this thread and if I were Chance, I'd be having serious doubts about ever arranging another GB.

It's obvious some people have ordered more mics than they'd need in a lifetime, others have ordered only what they could afford or need for their own use, however, only Chance has had to deal with the obviously ridiculous number of orders and the ensuing work and time involved in seeing this exercise through to completion and what's he get for his troubles...................some ungrateful little twat saying "i kinda want my microphones now"......................Zed, get real and be bloody thankful you're not dealing with me!!!

screw you dude i wasn't being all serious about it. i really don't care when i get em, and i appreciate all the work that chance has put into this. as long as i get my microphones someday i'll be happy ;)

Go back and read Zed's post I refered to.............nothing to indicate it was anything but serious and in view of the pile of mics Chance is buried under, the comment was in poor taste.

chance, i sincerely apologize to you if i've said anything stupid. i understand that you're swamped with work here, and that you're doing the best you can. i'm not trying to be an ungrateful little twat. in fact, i'm quite grateful that you went thru all the trouble to get us all a good deal on some microphones. thanks again chance.


and ausrock, kiss my entire ass. maybe my use of blatant exaggeration and multiple stupid little smiley face thingies could have been a clue.

I understand exactly what you're saying Aus, the anxiety and impatience displayed in this thread astounds me!! Geez, I've only just gotten my HRM10 from the first GB lol. Some things in life just aren't that important, not to me anyway.
