On a whim I ordered a Groove Tubes Md1b FET microphone, and I realize I have other priorities, so it's headed to eBay if one of you folks don't want it first. I'm pricing it at $160 plus reasonable shipping charge.

Now, I have not even received it yet, so I'll have to wait a few days at least for pics and other details. Still, lots of us have been waiting to see what it sounds like, so you could be first!

Hey I responded in the Mic forum didn't know it was for sale. I have a SP-TB1 if you are interested in a trade for that plus cash and a small pre amp you may have...in case you didn't read this already in the mic forum...


I have a really deep voice and wanted the TB1 to bring my voice out but, it kinda makes it sound too warm. I need something a little less warm I think.
 
Hey Les. I don't have a small preamp anymore, only the Really Nice Preamp - which is, well, really nice!

I have a bit of interest in the TB1, but I'm not sure it's a better mic than the Groove Tube. It may be, mind you, but I don't know it's worth trading my mic AND cash for yours.

Iunno. Like i said it is a great mic not sure on how it compares to the GT Tube. Do you have the FET or the Tube? I don't want a Tube BTW.

The TB1 is a GREAT mic don't get me wrong. Nice and heavy, still with all warranties and all. In a smoke free Home Studio. Haven't even recorded a track with it yet. It's a virgin :) I just did mic checks.

My budget is about done and I need to get a small pre and a small monitor, so I'm trying to downgrade this mic to upgrade my setup
 
I see now.... so the deal would be, my Groove Tubes FET (not tube) for your TB1. Lemme think on that one for a bit.....

Soooooo tempting.

I am saving for my 1st real pre though.

I've said it before but I have a pair of the Md1B-t tube mics and they are freakin great.

Thats a good deal ...... someone should jump on it.

I have been slow to put this baby on eBay. In fact I haven't taken it out of the wrapper yet! But it's going on there by Saturday night, if I don't here any interest here first. Thanks.
