I noticed earlier today that Sweetwater is now carrying GT Mic's. I like the idea of having a tube condenser mic for around $300. Can anyone attest for their quality?

GT mics are great...I have more GT mics than any other brand (9)...5 are tube mics.

I'm not sure...but now that Fender owns Groove Tubes...the GT mics may be on the way out since Fender is TOO STUPID to know what to do with a company like Groove Tubes other than to sell their GT tubes.
They already discontinued making some of the GT outboard preamps and comps...and those may be close-out prices at Sweetwater...???

A lot of other places that use carry them...show many of the GT mics as "out of stock"...which is odd.

But hey...don't hesitate to get any.

I got all my GT mics when Groove Tubes was involved for a short time with Alesis...making mikes for them under the GT Electronics brand...and after a couple of years Alesis parted ways with GT.
I bought most of them at "fire sale" prices...some of the best deals I've ever gotten on brand new gear.
