hi,
i am having a brain fart today....
lets say i am recording from a drum machine, tempo is set to 80.
when i record the audio, then hit groove clip looping, it stretches my file and plays it back slower.
i also set the tempo in the cakewalk project to 80 also, but it still doesnt sound right.
can anyone explain the correct way of recording a groove clip?
i think i have done this correctly once and now dont seem to remember how i did it.
i am using sonar xl by the way and my computer is a 2ghz P4, 512mb, and a delta 1010.

Sounds like Sonar is not interpreting the correct amount of beats in the wave file. Right click on the track, hit properties, then hit groove clips and manually enter the correct amount of beats for the clip.

groove cliiiiippppssss

I have had the same problem with certain short guitar clips playing back too slow And I have tried every combination of beats and tags assignment and moved the little sliders all over the place !! What am I (WE)missing here? Most clips work out fine, its only some that can't be adjusted.
