Playing an Avion right now and I must say, this thing is sweet! The quality and playability is a lot better than my Gibson Les Paul Special....and it's only $399!

Yeah i love my Samick Formula...Tele knockoff, but sounds amazing.

I've got a Bennett acoustic

that was a $50 special at GC. Pretty darn nice. All maple w/Grovers, no less.

Sharp inlay, too. It's the one I had JF'ers sign.

BTW, Arvo, sometime I need to hook up with you to get your sig on it.

I'll take a pic and see if I can get my good buddy Zaphod B to resize it for me. :D

Even more than your guitar

I love your bold use of color.

OK, I think I've been watching waaay to much HGTV. :D

:D...a little HGTV never hurt anyone...I had considered a splash of yellow..whad'ya think?

It depends on what you're going for

You know, they say red makes you hungry.

Green and pink are calming, blue is cheerful and yellow is energizing.

I say paint the walls white, and use colored floods to change the mood.

Red has never fueled my appetite...

Colored floods are a good idea though...as long as you add the strobe globe.

Kramer ain't going to be too happy, when he see's his thread looks like Jenni's place...:D

I had a samick sg copy with a photo curly maple top, it was nice.

Anything to keep the thread alive. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. :D Oooh! Flip This House is on!

Nice guitar true. I still cant get over how good this thing sounds and plays. Yours might not have his sig on it, but Im sure he had a hand in it's design.

True, that really is a nice guitar.

Kramer, I've been checking out the Samick Bennetts for a while. They look like great bargains. My understanding is that the Samick factory is the OEM for a bunch of different guitar brands and do a respectable job.

LOL..thanks Kramer. I love the way mine feels and plays(makes noise:D) too!

First guitar I had purchased, in over 20 some years. Used, with no info on it, other than the obvious S on headstock and the stamp of Korea...;) I still have yet to find the same one on the internet.

Have you got a pic of the Avion Kramer...? I would love to see it.

Zaph....
thanks. I think, the one I have is a pretty good one. Other than material quality, I think it's a hit and miss thing...just like anything else made assembly mode and speed. Of course, if crappy materials are used, you just wind up with a quality assembled piece of crap....:D

Nice shade of blue Kramer! What pattern is that on it...quilted...? Nice looking guitar.:)

A couple of years ago I was looking for an acoustic resonator. I didn't wan't to spend too much cause I knew I would only use it occsaionally.

I bought a Greg Bennett Samick for 1/2 of what the Fenders were going for (I had never even considered a Samick up to that point. It sounds good, plays great and is very well made. I have not bought another Bennett guitar since - but I've tired several and would be pleased to own a few I've tried (I just don't "need" any more guitars).

One of the oldest retail stores in my town now carries a lot of Samick (they got fed up with having Gibson & Fendor dictate how much that had to order, etc).

my 'GB Fairlane'...raaaaawks!

just love my 'GB Signature Fairlane'.....a 'jazzy' type bass that is very versatile, looks sweet too, I think....cost me around $400, with life-time warranty, or 6 months, included in the sale, which ever occurs first.:p
I use this mainly in the studio, to give real bass player's an idea of what I want to happen in the mix.......and they tend to end up using this git in the mix!!
Good for the cash I reckon.
Just wish it had a pick-up selector instead of 2 volume pots.....but that's just me! (easily modded, so I'll end up doing that).
Spit.
