I love wakiki. I was just there in march.

Be sure to drive to around the island (head East on H-1) to Waimonolo Beach, it is 1 mile right down the street from 7-eleven (in this little small town I forgot the name) right across from a horse stable/polo field. H-1 turns into a small highway just stay on it and look for the 7 eleven.

The sand is soft and white, the beach is not crowded and the water is a deep tourquise, and the waves a perfect for boogy boarding and the water seems warmer there than wakiki. My wife and I just hung out there 3 days in a row packing lunch etc.

Check it out, Unless you are leaving by the time you read this:)

Well all I have returned to the mainland....

Cliff I took your advice and It was awesome...thanks for the suggestion. Who knew the fostex forum doubles as a travel agencey!!! Thanks again!

Dyoub, thanks for your link as well. It's funny because I bought the uke really just cause I thought it would be cool to buy a uke in hawaii, but I have to tell you I'm really enjoying it. It has opened up a new direction for my music and Im stoked. I would love to do a collab project...maybe with a little cliff on bass...?!

just a suggestion..

I enjoy the collaborative projects being initiated in this forum.
