Yo Green Winged Flyer,

I had two questions on the 2816 now that you have had some time on it.

1. It is advertised as a 16 tracker but I only see 8 faders for mixing. Do you use the motorized/automation feature on eight and have eight live faders or how does that work for mixing 16 tracks?

2. What rack gear do you still need with this unit/ how are the built in digital effects, EQ etc? I am assuming once you have it converted to digital you are not going back into any analogue effects.

The reason I am asking is I am buying a few small things here and there for use with my 4-track cassette and don't want to really spend any limited $$ on things that will be useless for the 2816 eventually.... so a few mic's and preamps are still on the "look for list" like the newer stereo M-Audio pre. If the 2816 has most/all the reverbs effects etc you will need then I will stay away from any of those....that Yamaha 3030 reverb unit they were blowing out for $290 had a lot of good reviews but they must be gone now....and I may not even need it with the 2816.

What say you of green hue?

Anyhow I will appreciate your input.:D

Yo Scott of Scoots:

I sent you an E-post. If you need any more info, send me a post. If anyone else wants this input, I'd be happy to post it.

Happy summer and COORS>
