Super Perfectionist
Hey,

could anyone please tell me what the green dots under everyones username. Has it got something to do with reputation and how can i get more of them? Thanks very much

I think the idea is for your "rep power" to be indicative of how useful or helpful your posts have been to other users. In reality - it doesn't really mean anything. I can only see the last 5 times somebody has given me rep for a post, so I can't give solid numbers, but assuming I've been repped say... 1000 times (totally just making a number up to make the point) - 920 of them were for funny posts, 75 were for helpful posts, 4 were from posting in the rep point thread (which makes rep power infinitely meaningless) and 1 was by somebody who took offense to what I said.

You can give rep to posts by clicking the little Star of David under a post. I just gave you some positive rep. Once you hit 50 posts, it will show up. I think it's 50...

The green 'dots' are an indication of your member status - how many posts you have made.

I'm just wondering . . .

there is an Analog Only forum.

Shouldn't there also be an Australian Only forum?
