Check out CDBaby.com. It will rock your world. LOL

Seriously, there is a LOT of information on self-marketing and you can even sell your CDs from a webpage they will provide. Not to mention, you can get a UPC code for WAYYYYY cheap.

My CD is at www.cdbaby.com/wendylambert. Check it out.

The cover sucks but I have a new one to be posted soon.

The only complaint I have so far with their service is that their format for your sample songs is not quick and easy.

Enjoy!

DO open it! :)

Okay, so I don't claim to be an expert yet. LOL. I was just sharing something that I found useful. Mind you, its the first source I have found for independent musician support... and I've just started looking.

Did I mention $4 a CD for them is a rip? But it's one of MANY places we can use and they DO have some great ideas for marketing and increasing record sales. Right now, I don't care WHO is advertising my CDs. I consider EVERY site like that a source of sales - modest or otherwise.

Please, grace me with your enlightenment and experience. I'm sure you're dieing after such a short, opinion-packed statement! LOL

Signed,

Really Curious Now

https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51367

but i didnt send anyone to a page where you can just happen to buy my CD on my first post on this BBS.....

but im out of the spam policing business so im shutting my mouth.....

on "Just happening to post my own web site"

OMG Gidge... and why WOULDN'T i post my web site? isnt this a home recording forum? why wouldn't i post my HOME RECORDINGS??? we are hear to shaaaaaaaaaare. well, most of us.

Let's take a moment here to reflect on the fact that #1 YOU DONT KNOW ME and #2 perhaps the posting of my site was an innocent "check out my site AS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW EASY IT IS TO USE CD.BABY AND HAVE YOUR OWN WEB SITE WITH LINKS TO YOUR MUSIC AND EASY SELLING ABILITY" versus the self-reported Gidgeon method "my real intent is to plug my site but i'll pretend it's not until i'm here for a while". taketh the LOG fromith your OWN eye!

besides, do you really think i believe CD sales would skyrocket from that post? LOLOLOLOL..... i'm shutting my mouth.

oh how i have little patience for the panty-bound...

.... put THAT in your back pocket.

and by the way, that wasn't my "FIRST post on the BBS"

I just gave your songs a listen and I think they are very nice indeed! Those are some beautiful melodies. I really enjoyed them.
Another site you may want to check out is IUMA.com. They're free and actually some pretty nice sites. I recently set one up there with some original guitar instrumentals if you'd care to take a listen.

Sorry, some RP problems now they work

I kinda feel sleepy when I listen to the songs. I don't know that's positive or negative:)

BrettB - Sleepiness effect is a compliment, thanks. LOL I used to play my little brother to sleep! Whether its good for YOU or not is a matter of opinion! :)

What RP problems did u experience with the site? Also, what is RP? Har har. ;P

Thanks for the feedback :) and I'd like to hear about the problems you had with listening to the songs.

Hey Keith,

I enjoyed your CD. For the variety you have on one CD, your unique style makes it possible! Excellent motion and smooth transitions in every song. My fave is Your Song of course (easy going, relaxing). And Daydream actually "sounds" like a daydream. It sticks out the most.

Thanks for sharing!

Wendy,

Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm glad you liked the songs. I prefer the mellow stuff myself but I kinda wanted to go to some different places with it. The tunes you named are also two of my favorites, especially "Your Song". It was actually the last one I did and it just kind of came to me where some of the others were more thought out. I started to layer more stuff on there but I kind of liked the simplicity of it the way I had it. Just kind of laid back, like your songs, they take me to a good place.

Keith
