The Antex Studio Card 2000.
The headroom and sonic clarity are to die for. It's totally transparent and I love that!
But - it's a 4 in/4 out card. In's/out's are all XLR. Mono right?
hehehe, system doesn't think so on the inputs.
Picks up each one as being stereo. So, instead of four inputs, it finds eight (left & right for each). To select mono record it will only pick up inputs 1 & 3 not ot mention cross track bleedover.
So, I figured out how to "trick" it.
I make my assignments with my overall options set mono record. Then, without changine the tracks' assignments at all, I go back to the options and deselect mono.
Then it gives me four independent mono inputs as it should without bleedover.
Don't ask how I discovered this, but it was quite by accident and it works...so I'm gonna run with it and see where it goes.
Just FYI for those who might be running XP and thinking of buying one.
