Great song, hilarious lyrics! It's a cool boogie rocker and reminds me of some 70's rock and roll--so I love it! The drums are a little out front and the kick drum seems to be panned to the left in the mix. The reverb sounds like a loud bar band in a honky tonk-so it suits the song pretty well.
Good song Jay, it sure put a smile on my face.:D

Too much thump in the bass drum here. Maybe carve some out and bring up the bass guitar some? Everything else sounded ok.

cant comment on the mix cause of my speaker situation right now but the song sounds pretty good. guitars are rockin.

Oh yeah...that harmonica part sounds great in there-a good thing got better! The kick drum sounds good now and its centered. The slide and the harp on there reminds me of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils--cool sounds Jay!

Sounds great, Jay.

Thanks guys....still a work in progress though....I won't quit until I've screwed it up right!!!!;):D

A little Hendrix meets Hank tune....:D or maybe Nazareth meets David Allen Coe... You slide guys make me envious...lol
Mix sounds good - everything sounds good. The main parts are steady and the leads come in up where the vocals are so that works good.
Another good story in this song - you sure can write 'em.:D

Thanks man....I always did listen to a strange mix of music when I was coming up;):D

Too much reverb - snare can come up a hair.

Nice playing all around, dude.

I like your voice.

More snare - verb is OK by me!
Need some balance for the meat of the main distorted gtr in the other channel.
Sometimes the vox seem too dynamic & hit the roof - could be my h'phones though.
Nice harmonica playing - could be used rhythmically earlier in the track to balance the distorted gtr.
Good song.
Good playing.
Slippery slide too!

You've got a great voice for this genre, Ray. This is a cool song. The snare could come up a bit IMO and the slide git sounds great but a little back in the mix. Not so much the volume, but it seems to have a different verb than the rest of the sounds. I don't play electric, so maybe I'm full of poop. Great song!:D

I love the intro Jay!! The tone rocks...!!!

A great rockin roller...that buddy holley/bill haley..etc 50s heavy on the rhythm-rock sound to my ears...boogie down with that dirty rock n roll....:D

Lyrics are spot on.

Harmonica nice touch!

Your vocals are deep smooth sexy.

Guits rock with that down dirty tone

Drums, bass keeping the bottom end rocking steady.

I have no nits whatsoever.

Very cool, I could imagine this on the radio.

My only suggestion would be to cut the guitar intro.:o It really isnt needed and doesnt serve much purpose. If you get a chance to play this for a record label type, they will probably turn it off before the song comes on. Maybe the solo can be on the album and not the single.:D:D

Excellent vocals, you sound like the real deal.:)
