... here is a recording of Whipping Post from my last band practice...check out the bass players dog howling after the big guitar solo climax..he is a bassett hound and was outside while we practiced but you can still here him, probably my biggest fan or maybe heckler ...this was recorded wit 1 mic out in our practice space....after a few brews so there are a few clams, but what the hell:p

Queeps - that's pretty cool. The bass really cuts through and everything has it's place - terrrific for a single mic jobbie! I have mega produced live albums that don't approach this!
I'm not familiar with the song but I definetely like it.
BIG solo!
Fun song too!
I'd boost the dog a little! He fits!

Nice man...I love this song, and this is a great rendition....:D

Gotta say, nice job on the vocals...

I've always loved this tune. Good version. Vocals can come up. Drums sound a little rawer than your other recordings...but it makes it sound like a good jam.

Nice tune, great soloing.
The dog needs some D-essing:D:D:D:D

But all in all i think its top notch, not heard much from the allman Bro`s except Duane, but I dug it:cool:

Cool version of this song and lolz@the dog. I say boost him a bit. Mix elements have been mentioned already, but it's live and raw.

Thanks Ray! I have posted a lot of live stuff using that Mini Disc setup, you cant beat it for easy setup/recording...you should check out The Allman Brothers at the Filmore East album...some incredible live jams there!! Bass player has 2 Bassett hounds and they have a pretty cool howl :D...they always let loose when I sing out of key on my backups :p

Dogman Nice man...I love this song, and this is a great rendition....

Thanks man! Our bass player has come a long way with his being able to sing and play at the same time...I love this song as well...its pretty challenging to make it sound full as a 3 piece band, but it is a blast trying:D

RAMI I've always loved this tune. Good version. Vocals can come up. Drums sound a little rawer than your other recordings...but it makes it sound like a good jam.

Hey Rami, thanks man...for this practice the drummer had a brand new snare, and the bass player had a new BAss pod xtl...so we were tweeked a bit on the sound...I just dumb the recording from my mini disc to my pc and trim the talking and stuff from the songs..no eq /compression etc, so i think thats why it sounds so raw....we have just got the capability to record multitrack off the board now at our practices, but haven't tried it yet...

Nakatira Nice tune, great soloing.

Thanks Nak! The Duane stuff is killer...tragic he died so young ...I'm reading his biography now, so have been in a bit of a Allman Brothers phase musically...will work on Wyatts (the dog) vocals :p

Supercreep Cool version of this song and lolz@the dog. I say boost him a bit. Mix elements have been mentioned already, but it's live and raw.

Thanks man, appreciate the comments!
