Got set up questions

Hello all,
So this is what I have:
Sonar 3 studio edition
Yamaha 10/2
E-Mu 0404
Turtle beach Santa Cruz
now the questions:
All is installed, however i am unable to get a signal to any of the programs other than the patchmix dsp that came in the bundle what am I doing wrong?
I also have a turtlebeach santa cruz card in here could that be the problem?
I dont know sonar that well so if I am not setting it up right than let me know.
Also I dont have any monitors yet just the factory speakers connected to the santa cruz soundcard can I record using the e-mu and listen using the santa cruz?
I am new to whole home recording thing, thats why I am here, so any help would be great, Thanks

did you select the correct sound card in sonar?

Did you select the input you want to record in the track?

did you arm the track for recording?
