what a great guitar.

action is perfect, intonation was a couple cents off on one string, hell it was almost in tune after 6 days in transit!

solid tuners, cheapo tone and volume knobs (the knobs not the pots)

nice hardware

AMAZING cherry sunburst finish.

great sounding pickups. yet to be tested on my real gigging amp though.

HEAVY! compared to my cheaper lp knockoff. but, it is solid tonewood through and through, so im prepared to live with it. will have it strapped on for a couple hours and band practice tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

cant say enough about the fretwork, ebony board, awesome big jumbo shiny frets, very nice inlay detail.

toggle switch knob was busted upon arrival, but i had one kicking around. it doesnt match the shade of cream as the rest of the parts though, so ive asked kurt about getting a new one. from what ive read, it shouldnt be a problem.

again, cant say enough about the awesome value here. one of my favourite guitars ive played to date, at only 249 cause of a tiny chip on the back edge near the strap button.

now what to do with my old black lp beater.....bigsby anyone?:)

read "it was a good way out of tune when it left the factory" :D

(i know nothing about guitars. hehe.)

Andrew.

I love Teles, but the second one I got left me feeling a little cold.
As I remember you should be pissed about the outlet not the guitar. How did that turn out by the way? Did you get it set right?

Last picture is of the scratch that saved me 120 bucks.

Sorry for the less than stellar focus. oh well, nothing short of a pro can do a guitar justice in my opinion.

I was gonna make a joke about that being about $3 USD but that's not true any more is it? :o :D

I'm surprised about that myself, I can't wait for Prices to drop!

that's a really nice colour of the LP.

I love that style of guitar, and wish I had one.

However, a buddy of mine got one similar to that, and when I get to jammin too hard.... I end up hitting that switch.

Is there a style like that made with the switch in a different spot?

Cool looking guitar. It's only missing one thing...

Here ya' go!! :D

Ah man, I wasn't ragging on it. Just a comment about how much it looks like the real deal to an amateur, novice, horrible musician such as myself...

...and I don't tend to get into "what's better" too much. To me, asking if a variax acoustic is worse than a [insert acoustic] is kind of like asking which is better...a hammer or a screwdriver. Depends on what you're doing. For what I do, there's not a better instrument made to reproduce live acoustic guitar sounds and be able to handle a large amount of volume without feeding back. I have just a couple of others, lol.
