not many of my posts on the forum are answered (mostly in the upper echelon forums with the "real" tech. gurus...)so I decided on a catchy subject title... At any rate, I am using an Akai Dps16 for my multitracking/recording and I am curious to know if anyone has experience with this device? If so, how do the onboard fx compare to some individual fx units? More than open to any other comments about this piece...Thanx in advance for any and all assistance.

i use a dps12... the onboard fx took me forever and a half to figure out how to route (it's a confusing little maze.) then they sucked ass. i've used them once and almost cried they were so bad. my alesis nanoverb is better.

HOWEVER... i don't know if there's a difference between the 12 and 16 other than quantity of tracks.

.pete.

Yo Morris:

The internal effects on my Yam 2816 are very good. But, as Cool mentioned, the routing may be a puzzle. It's not so difficult on the Yam but sometimes it takes me a couple of tries before I get it on line.

I also have a Lexicon and an Alesis MidiVerb III. I like the Alesis better than the Lex but would suggest to anyone buying reverb to go with a Yamaha box.

Keep reading that manual and pushing buttons.
