Dang man...that sounds cool!!!!! I love the sounds you've meshed here. The only thing I hear that you might work on is during the chorus, the buildup od sound makes the vocals a bit hard to understand. (about :55 is where I first notice it.) The main vocals are nice and clear, so maybe if you can give teh chorus vocals a bit more space.

Other than that, this one is cool....really well done man.

Sounds sweet! Sounds freaky and psycho too, love all the effects and combinations of sounds going on. Keeps things very interesting. Vox sound and style remind me of Beck a bit. Drums sound dangerous, might sound cool to bring them up a tad in volume in places, but they do sound great. Good mix overall to my ears, nothing sticks out to me.
Great track here, like your style

Very interesting. I really like the drums. All the fuzzy instruments are a great contrast for the vocals. The vocals are very good, and easy to hear. They are wll in the mix. You have an accent, and by the looks of the link, you are from New Zealand, correct? I am envios of the weather you are having. :)

Very good song. You wrote it well, and the performances seem great. Nicely put together.

Man, I really really dig this. Just a cool quilt of sound. All the parts have a place to fill and a reason to be there. Sick drums. Love that fast triplet drum break. Heavy and funky. One of my favorites from this site so far.

I think I heard this one on the other site....really like this mix...you get the sickest sounds.....I love it!Nice double bass in there! This just rocks...great job!

Cool BH - the syncopated and sliding rhythms give this a real modern feel.... The DJ - type and other effects are far out! Drums are kickin'.... Guitars sound great. Mix is outstanding - everything is clear and well placed. Nice arranging of the various parts. Overall hot rockin' / funky tune.

Dogman - I'll check out that chorus again. I put some reverb on the vocal there so that could be why it's moving back. Thanks for the listen Ed, glad you liked it

SnakeDog5050 - Yeah I might need to break out an envelope on that drum mix and tweak the level a little bit. Thanks for all the comments Snake, I appreciate them

BuckwheatJones
- Yep, we're NZ over here. But if you lived where I do, you wouldn't say such nice things about the weather. It's the crappiest summer I can remember. Thanks for listening and the mix comments

RAMI - Heh at the risk of losing all respect, I should come clean and admit that the triplet part was actually a bass synth played on the keyboard and I accidentally dropped it into a track with a drumagog kick sample. Sometimes accidents work out. Thanks for the kind words Rami, glad you dug it

variaxman - Cheers again man. Thanks for giving it another spin

ido1957 - Thanks a lot man, you're too kind. It's good to know the mix is holding up on other systems

The drumming has a loose-but-tight feel to it that I think makes the song. What the hell is that? No, really I know what it is. Everything just builds up from the sonority and rhythmic feel of the drums in this as far as textures and expressive content. My only criticism is that the vocal might be more effective overall if somewhere in the piece it became more animated or enraged.

A real mish mash of styles & influences - glad the guitars are in there too.
This piece works really well as is though it might be useful to play around with Timothy's suggestion.
Life & the weather is dry, dry, dry over this side of the Tasman.
Here's a freak out for you - I just bought a CD of Dragon's 1st 2 albums (& originally exclisive NZ released) the proggy Universal radio & more psych Scented Gardens for the Blind.
It's good to that they moved on (not, I mean that 4've died so far) & that you're keeping the psych alive though in a more modern setting.
GOOD WORK

Timothy Lawler - Yeah I was going for a funky kind of grind with the drums. There's a couple of parts in there that are a couple of bpm slower than the rest, but I just about got away with it, almost :D . The mood of the vocal is more about resignation and reluctant acceptance than outright anger and I didn't want to get too ambitious with it and screw the whole thing up. Thanks for your comments Timothy

rayc - Man you guys are doing it tough over there with the droughts & fires. At least the cricket team's doing well. Dragon? Their songs sound just as fresh today. Mark Hunter and the boys went overboard with the drugs though, paid the price in the end, but God they did some timeless stuff. Thanks for checking the tune ray, glad you liked it

joeydego - Appreciate the ears again man, thanks

LP2006 - Yeah several people have said this though I'm not sure why. I've never heard or owned any Beck albums and what I've heard on the radio didn't really float the boat..so Beck? Nah, but Bonham? Definitely :D

I really like how you have the drums sound in the mix. The hits are very prominent when they need to be, and the overall sound is very big. Very interesting lyrics. I like them.

Very good song. :)

Wow. Thats pretty cool and interesting. Does sound sort of like Beck, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Very unique. The quality is fantastic. No nits about anything. I enjoyed it. Great job! :)

PrettyWoman - Yeah there's still a few hits in there that I need to pull up, but overall I'm happy with the drum sound. I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the nice comments

Greg_L - Maybe I need to explore Beck a bit more, and see what's going on there. Thanks for the good words Greg, I'm glad you enjoyed it
