yeah i know....i was planning on using my next check to save up for (dare i say it) a yamaha or mackie. but after seeing that price, I'm going for it.

Guys, I think they may have mispriced the 1010LT and the 1010 at AMS. The 1010 goes for $599 everywhere else, and they're selling it for $450 (!). If you add to cart it shows $450, but if you click on the "more photos" link it shows the $599 price. Could they really be blowing those out at those prices?

Dude, all the Deltas are down. The audiophile is 100 bucks and the 44 and 66 are below 200. Those are GOOD prices.

Maybe some competition from Emu is having an effect

I was almost certain that the new line from E-mu was going to have an effect on the pricing scheme of the M-Audio line. Now it finally looks like we are witnessing that effect! Either that or M-Audio are positioned to release some newer products.

Figures. I bought an Audiophile last week, used, for 25 dollars more than their sale price. Ah well--that's what I get for waiting 3 years patiently for the prices to drop!!

yeah I'm wondering if theres a new line comming up too. maybe we're looking a gift horse in the mouth here? maybe its just a competitional mark down.

I believe that it is a mark down in response to E-mu's release of the 0404 for $99. If this card lives up to it's expectations, then it will be a great buy. The E-mu 1212M was also only $50 more than the old Audiophile 2496 price, with better converters and more features. My 1212M leaves my Audiophile in the dust. Still, the Audiophile is a good solild card. The Audiophile serves many users well.

Hard to tell. The cards have been on the market for years now so you may expect something new. Surely they're working on something if they want to stay in the game... But who cares. An Audiophile for less than 100,- is a great deal and I'm sure it will be supported for a few more years. It's practically an industry standard.

industry standard?......i think we should call it and industry basic. not as an insult but more as a base of a big ass pyramid

Last month I got my Delta 1010LT for $275, no tax, no shipping. Look around for an online retailer who won't advertise his prices because they're too low.
