ok typical question but, what songs? i don't want mushy stuff, but good stuff i'm open to lots of artists so help me out. i like alot of rock if that helps.

hmmmm, maybe.... "burn in hell and die, im looking for my next ex wife"? hehe.

Give us a scenario? Is it "LUUUUV?", or just friends? Under a window? Social gathering? what?

and whats she like?

The unplugged version of "Lick My Love Pump" by Spinal Tap is a must...

(helpful buggers, aren't we?)

depends on the girl in question...

if shes more of a rocker pull out some cool covers of classics...

if shes an emo freak...well, just play some mushy stuff, like dashboard confessionals...or some 80's covers...everyone likes those.

whatever she likes(especially if she likes PUNK =),
classic (even these are mushy) is the best.

such as "Romance"- even it's pretty easy
or Recuerdos De La Alhambra (I like all Tarrega stuffs)

i think typical 'mushy' songs are (often) cooler than anything!

"Hero" - Enrique
"Wanted Dead or Alive"- Bon Jovi
"Its Your Love"- Tim McGraw
"Honestly"-Stryper
"Lay Your Body Down"-Poison

God, these guys are useless! Go listen to Heart! Listen to "Crown of Creation" by Jefferson Airplane (old, but beautifully engineered.) Mary Chapin Carpenter, Joni Mitchell "Wild Things Run Fast". Steeleye Span (Medieval/Celtic/Rock fusion). Juliana Hatfield (Alternative). Bonnie Raitt, Madonna, Tracey Chapman, Faith Hill. For really obscure, search ebay for a copy of Saloom, Sinclair, and the Mother Bear. Billie Holiday, Maureen Fleming, Diana Kral.-Richie

I'd second "Wanted Dead or Alive" and add "Sweet Child O' Mine", which is great because they are essentially the same chords, and also the only two songs by other people that I remember how to play.

The one downside to the Bon Jovi tune is you need a backing singer to scream "Want-ed-ed-ed!!!" after you sing "Wanted" but before you sing "Dead or Alive!" So you'll have to brings some of your buds, or pause awkwardly and wave your pick at your girl until she catches on that she's supposed to be screaming.

Hmmm, that last sentence . . . sounds a little too familiar for comfort . . .

Patience...
Every Rose Has it's Thorn
Under the Bridge
Lifehouse - Hanging by a Moment

i would tend to lean toward anything passionate that both she and i like. in my experience, this is extremely effective, though i think the singing is more important than the playing.

I would recommend "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. You get some on the spot.

Camaro rock?

Hey why all the camaro rock? Find a copy of Depeche Modes "somebody" match up the three or so cords and and pick up the tempo. I think it's G, C, and A.
The lyrics are good and if she knows Depeche mode you'll get points, if not you will certainly look creative. My wife and I grew up on punk and New Wave and she flipped when she heard it. 'course I'm cursed with a Martin Gore voice.

Good luck!

I second every rose has its thorn.
Alice in Chains Unplugged stuff is especially sexy comming from a girl.
Black Crows stuff..
tracy chapman?

You'd need a friend with a stand up bass to help you but, if we are going to go Spinal Tap.... Big Bottoms is sure to win her heart:D

Why Bon Jovi over Depeche Mode?

'Cause John Mellencamp didn't sing "Forget about all that macho shit and learn how to play synthesizer."

Any song with Heaven in the title...:)

Heaven - Warrant
Heaven - Bryan Adams
Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton

Knockin on Heavens Door?...:p
