I need some good patch cables. I would make my own...BUT, it would be more expensive and a whole lot more time consuming (imagine soldering 50 to 100 cables...no thanks) than just buying them. So what should I get? Are Rean or AP audio patch cables any good? Don't tell me Hosa!!! :) Thanks.

If your gonna need that many cables, it would be much cheaper to make them than buying the same build quality.

http://www.markertek.com is the place to go. Good build quality, resonable pricing. They have many patch cables in stock, including odd adapter cables, and they'll make anything you want with any raw materials you want. Neutrik, Canare, Mogami, whatever. Good people- I use them all the time when I don't have time to build my own.

The other thing to do is to make a cable building jig- bend an aluminum panel up and mount 1/4", XLR male/female, RCA, DIN-5, and whatever other connectors you use a lot of on it. You can then plug the connector you're soldering into the mating connector on the jig, and it'll stay put instead of rolling around the bench.

Thanks guys.

I've ordered from markertek before when I made my mic cables. I just thought that it would be crazy to actually solder that many cables! I'll call them and see what they can do.
