good mixer brands?

Well now I'm a happy camper withthe JBL LSR25's...next step is a little mixer. OK the Mackie 12-- is an abvious choice. Curious if anyone recommends any other brands. Who else is a hot name for mixers? (small ones like 8-16 max)

mackie doesnt have the best mixer out there....its the one of the best values in the $$$ range home recorders are usually in.....
 
With that said, Allen&Heath and Soundcraft(Spirit) are nice boards...Harvey Gerst has recommended the Soundtracs Topaz line and even has 2 that I believe he will be selling.....
