I'm still looking for answer. I still have plenty of noise in my vocal channel. Is it bacause of the little BOSS compressor/limiter? I plugged the mic into the soundcraft spititfolio F16 and directly inte the line in of the PC. Have a Live Platinum card.. I ordered the ART TUBE Amp and it's comming? Should the ART solve my noisy problem?
When I get it how will I make the setup?
MIC - PREAMP - PC or?
MIC - PREAMP - MIXER - PC?

Do I need that BOSS comp then or not?
Will the preamp do the entire job?

Thanx

the Boss sounds suspicious to me. The Spirit should be pretty quiet, unless you have some effects turned way up. If you have already checked that then I would try not using the Boss and also check the cable from your spirit to your computer. What soundcard do you have?

When your Art gets here you should go strait from it into your computer.

nt2 mics

has anyone use the nt2 with a di6 korg multitrack for vocals? how is the sound?

i would bet on the compresser.have you tried different settings on it?have you taken it out of the loop?hope you figure it out with out any cost.

What introduces the noise is easy to figure out. Plug in things one at a time and se when the noise arrives...

I have a BOSS compressor limiter myself. Their fine, but they are very sensitive to what power you feed them with.
Make sure you use a boos 9VC adapter, or you will get hum.
