Hey guys, I'm loking for some suggestions on a set of headphones that will NOT bleed through to a hot condenser mic. Any suggestions?

Beherdynamic DT 100s but they're kind of uncomfortable. Squeeze your head really tight!

They're cheap enough too.

And they can take a lot of crap... I dropped 'em in the sea once. Seriously. Had to dry them out with the heater of the car. Thought the salt water would ruin them but they were perfect.

You may ask what I was doing with headphones like those on the beach? I was recording the sea of course! Then there was a storm, I nearly got drowned in a cave, a big wave crashed in on top of me. I made a run for it and the headphones fell off my head and got almost carried out to sea! Scary 'coz they weren't mine.

I use Sennheiser's HD265. They are more bass predominant than the HD280's, which can help when tracking drums and bass guitar.

 All good recomendations, now it's time for the auditions.

You know, I have had a lot of Audio Technica stuff and I don't think any of it's ever let me down. Except for maybe 1 REALLY CHEAP AT mic... Thank you all for the suggestions, I'll start checking them out.

Hey Mutt:

Did you mean the Beyer 250 cans? That's what I use and they are comfortable and quality cans.

For sure some of the others mentioned will also do the job. I guess I have a penchant for German engineering.

Green Hornet :D :p :p
