Looking for some diffusion products or some links on easy way to make your own. Must look very professional.
Looking at the Auralex Metrofuser, which seems to be the best price. Anyone have experience with this? I plan on pretty much diffusing everything above, behind and beside the drums, along with the bass traps in the room. The opposite end of the room will have monitoring and be dead up to the listening position. I'll probably track everything in the diffused area, in particular vocals. Would be nice to get a foot or 2 off the mic without weirdness.
Any help appreciated.
I decided so far to go with the 9 foot ceilings at the new place, by the way. Better than 8 I guess.

Tube, I bought 3" thick Markertech acoustic foam about 9 years ago and for the most part I was happy with it BUT I just noticed this week that it's starting to disintegrate. I brushed up against a panel (each is 54" square) and where I came in contact, it turned to dust. Needless to say, I'm sudddenly in the market for a replacement. I'm going to be looking into the compressed fiberglass and cover it with fabric or something.

Cool, where are the instructions?
Track- I'm not really looking at foam right now, rather I am trying to find diffusion. A diffused space is SO much nicer than a dead one, IMO. I want bass tracps in the corners, some 2 inch wedge running the entire wall-meets-ceiling area to kill flutter and give a little bass control there (might use 3 or 4 inch instead) and then I want diffusion above the drums (this spot is where everything will be tracked, for the most part) and behind them, maybe deaden the wall to the left and diffuse the one to the right. GOing to experiment. According to my full compass catalog, the mertofusers are $12.99 for 12 of them, in 2ft by 2ft sections. If so, there is no reason why everyone doesnt have 3 or 4 dozen. I have a feeling its a typo, but I'll find out today.
Diffusors, anyone? Cheap?

Unfortunately Tubedude, the 12.99 price tag means that if you order 12 you can get them for 12.99 a piece. Otherwise they are a little more expensive....I was dissapointed.

Thats STILL a good price. I'm not dissapointed at all.
Now, wonder how well they perform?
I gotta quit buying shit.
